Meet Kristin Peugeot

Hi! I’m Kristin Peugeot, designer and founder of JOY. creative studio - a creative engine that will power your company or organization to the next level.  First - a little bit about me.  I was born and raised just outside of Pittsburgh, PA and now call Northwest Ohio home.  A newlywed, outdoor enthusiast, yoga novice, and food lover, I enjoy spending time playing with my two beagles, Fritz & Charlie (that's them above, along with my wonderful hubs), new adventures, and lots & lots of coffee.  Working as a full-time designer and getting my freelance career up and running has made the last 5 years busy and exciting!

Although working full-time as a designer, I started my freelance endeavor, JOY. creative studio, where I could further express my creativity. For me, JOY. creative studio is a labor of love because I get to take an illusory concept and give it life on a page or screen.  This is clearly shown by my favorite areas of design: color, typography and page layout. What started out as a dream and then a hobby is now reality and a career. I am blessed to be able to do what I love on a daily basis!

Design is as much about editing as it is creating.  Knowing what (and what not) to put on a page requires not only creativity but also an understanding of why people connect emotionally with a certain graphic or image.  What makes JOY. creative studio so special is the unique perspective I bring to each project through my education in both Psychology (B.S Penn State University) and Graphic Design (B.S. The Art Institute of Pittsburgh).
